MIDNIGHT BREAKFAST GIVES STUDENTS A STUDY BREAK — A total of 623 Lindsey Wilson College students took a study break late Tuesday, May 7, at the college’s semi-annual “Midnight Breakfast.”
Hosted by the college’s Office of Residence Life, the event, held from 11 p.m.-1 a.m. CT in Roberta D. Cranmer Dining & Conference Center, provides students with comfort food, a respite from studying and fellowship during final examinations week.
LWC will graduate will award 177 graduate and undergraduate degrees at its spring ceremony, which will be 10 a.m. CT on Saturday, May 11, in Biggers Sports Center, 360 Spickard Drive. It will be LWC’s 97th overall commencement ceremony. Combined with the 381 degrees awarded in December at winter commencement, this school year’s 558 graduates make the Class of 2013 the largest in LWC’s 110-year history.

STUDENTS IN CRIMINAL JUSTICE HONOR SOCIETY DONATE MORE THAN 100 BOOKS TO ADAIR COUNTY LIBRARY — Members of the Lindsey Wilson College chapter of Alpha Phi Sigma National Criminal Justice Honor Society donated more than 100 children’s books May 3 to the Adair County Library. The students collected the books during the spring semester.
Alpha Phi Sigma recognizes academic excellence among criminal justice undergraduate and graduate students as well as juris doctorate students. The honor society’s goals are to promote academic excellence, community service, educational leadership and unity.
